Uganda’s coffee industry has earned global attention as Inspire Africa showcases the country’s finest coffee at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025 in Shanghai.
The participation marks a major step towards positioning Ugandan coffee on the world stage, especially as China continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing markets for specialty coffee.
Inspire Africa is representing Uganda with a focus on promoting the nation’s rich coffee heritage and engaging with international investors, distributors, and coffee enthusiasts.
The company’s team is also conducting market research, hosting coffee tasting sessions, and holding trade talks aimed at widening Uganda’s coffee presence in Asia.
“Our presence at CIIE is a testament to Uganda’s potential to supply high-quality, traceable, and sustainably grown coffee to the world,” said Dr Nelson Tugume, CEO of Inspire Africa.
He added that, “China is a ready and growing market, and this engagement opens doors for greater value addition and improved livelihoods for our farmers back home.”
Uganda’s participation in this year’s expo highlights the country’s commitment to diversifying its coffee markets, boosting exports, and strengthening the global profile of Made-in-Uganda products.
With Inspire Africa at the forefront, Ugandan coffee aims to continue making strides towards becoming one of the world’s most admired brews.
